This was an incredible journey. I had always wanted to go see these magnificent trees and they did not disappoint! Not.One.Bit!
There was so much to see and with the rain we didn't make it to it all. I would like to come back when it is warmer and we can explore more.
Each spot had some kind unique tree with an interesting story. The trees are magnificent, ancient, they are over 1000 years old! The coolest thing about these trees is that their roots are very shallow, without the other trees roots that they intertwine with they wouldn't survive. These trees are survivors!

The Immortal Tree
This trees story was my favorite. The axe was were loggers planned to chop it down in 1908 but for some reason didnt follow thorugh. SHortly after there was a fire yet the tree survived. around 1952 it was struck by lightening . Then survived a flood a couple years later. It doesn't want to die.
Most of these amazing trees are hollow on the inside.
Avenue of the Giants ...It is by far the most outstanding display of these giant trees. If only we could have walked more of these trails.
The Two Story Tree House
